Food Hub Manager
I coordinate projects with Missouri State CASL Students, community partners and neighbors. I host classes and educate out of the Midtown Garden on wild edible and medicinal Heart-Health plants, and manage Diabetics prevention plots. I also help with SCG’s Mothers Garden working to plant a regenerative food system as well as flower garden. As well as work on a project for SCG & Ozark Mountain Permaculture installing a regenerative food system on a lot the City of Springfield donated to the gardens. I work with Garden Leaders on produce to grow for market, classes and other ways they can grow to feed more in our community. I host Zero Waste Classes in our Community Kitchen. I also post on social media 3-5 times a week new recipes, or ideas for using plants growing in our Gardens.
Wild Edibles Educator
I host educational classes on wild edibles, medicinal plants, wild culinary and foraging. I have partnered with Bass Pro’s WOW school, Springfield Community Gardens, the Springfield Herb Society, the Missouri Master Gardeners, as well as many local restaurants and companies. I love connecting others with nature in a meaningful rewarding way.
* I am on the list to take the Missouri Master Naturalist Training this Fall, which will give me even more knowledge of this beautiful State.
